Speaking from my own eddy, I think maybe the eddy is not creative timeout so much as it is an amniotic womb that enables us to make and be something new. We can't get too cozy in our eddy (which is what I'm prone to do); we have to fight our way out. But the fight is where the good stuff happens because it forges us into a new thing that can create new things. The eddy is the way!
